1. The role of microorganisms capable of causing the degradation of crude oil and individual hydrocarbons.

2. The isolation and identification of oil degrading microorganisms.

3. The utilization and consumption of individual hydrocarbons by microorganisms.

4. The study of the polymers produced by oil degrading microorganisms and their importance.

5. The study of the lipids and fatty acids of oil degrading microorganisms.

6. The study of microbial bioremediation of oil polluted environments.

7. The study of the establishment of oil degrading biofilms on gravel particles and glass plates.

8. The study of oil-utilizing microorganisms associated with higher plants.

9. Phytoremediation for heavy metals-polluted soil by crop plants and their rhizospheric bacteria.
